Red winced. "Tell me that means they left."

A sidelong glance. "Actually, I don't know. I've never used that chant before, so..." He shrugs.

Red nodded. "Well, at least it didn't bring more here, and that counts as good in my book. Let's get out of here, and take a better look at that bow." He took a couple steps.

Wren follows after the other two, and gathered around them to catch a glimpse of the hard one bow. "That is a fine bow." She said simply with admiration in her tone. "It should stand you well".

Removing the bow from his back, he chuckles, and strings it, pulling it back as far as he may, about to his chin. "Ah, cant get full draw. Well, time to test it." He removes one of the arrows from the pouch, and nocks it, aiming towards the sky, drawing it back. He holds it for a few seconds, then releases it, the arrow quickly is out of sight, and not just because of the fog.

Red stood there with a wow on his lips, but he didn't say it. He stared at the bow in amazement. He then looked around, and started walking off, his day of adventure was over, it was time to go find another. Plus, this fog was making him ancy since he now knew what it could hide., and he didn't think even that fancy bow would save him.

Sighing, the ranger nods in satisfaction, then glances about. "Well, I guess I should get back to wanderin the Downs...maybe try to find a way out near Bree or something...I feel the need to stay at the Pony for a while."

Red glanced back over his hsoulder, and realized he had no idea where he was going. He blew out his breath in anooyment, and pulled his sword, and stod it on end, then let it fall. The hilt pionted away from the hill where they had found the bow, so he srhugged, and resheathed his sword, then started walking the way he sword had pionted, and figured the Downs must end somewhere. he then stopped, and realized he had no way to walk straight. He threw up his hands, and walked back to the group, and sat down, throughly disgruntled, and said, "I'm lost." He stared at the ground, muttering, "Stupid fog....." and so on.

Chuckling, he glances to Red. "Not a problem. I have a good idea where we are, I think so at least. It's been a while since I've been in his part of the Downs."

Red raised an eyebrow. "Well, they must end somewhere. I'd just walk till I got out, but I might walk in circles, or walk right into one of those wraiths again, and personally, I don't want a repeat performance with them." He sighed, and drew doodles in the dirt with a finger, a childhood habit he had never quite broken free of.

He nods, now grave. "Aye. Never wander the Downs alone, or you will end up running into more wights. The fog will do that to a person. It will lead you around in circles, taking you to areas that you were just in, or to ones that you dont want to go. If your in the Downs, its best to be with a ranger."

Red said nothing, yet he thought, Who says I'm not a Ranger? Ach, I'm not, but how does he know that? I am more of an offical vagabond, traveling for money, an asassin lurking in the dark, so I know my way around pretty well. And whatch, they both think I;m dumb since I have nothing better to do than play in the dirt. But it is really fun... He doodled more, then erased it, and began to sketch a reasonably accurate map of the Bree area, making the Barrow Downs a large blank spot where he drew a couple hills, and out a great big x over it, in case anyone other than them ever stumbled upon it, and they would know they weren't supossed to be here. He finished, and continued sitting there, staring at his achievement. No wonder people think I'm half witted. I act like a kid, but it sure beats what I have to be otherwise.

Sighing, Aranarth looks about quickly, then begins to walk in a, what he hopes, northernly direction.

Red got up, and followed, his logic being that the guy just siad not to wander by himself, so Red would stick with him to make sure he didn't get into any trouble alone.

Quiet humming, and a few softly spoken lines pierce the silence as Aranarth continues to walk, seemingly to not really guide his path, just to walk and see where it takes him.
