Red continued to sit there, and finnaly looked the right way, but not at the right angle -.-. "Hey, that kinda looks like that mist is a shape! A bunny, no.......squirrel! Ugh! I think it looks like a skull. Stupid mist, make something nice, not stupid like that!" He was not acting seriuos, but he was in reality ready for trouble, tensed like a spring, ready to go.

A shape was becoming all the more clear as the mist gently swirled around in the darkness around the torchlight. The skull shape was hidden inside of a long dark cloak, and two pupils of dim yellow light glowed from within.
The figure called out to them, "You are trespassing in my realm. What is it you seek, thieves transgressors!" He accused them. He drew forth his long thin barrow blade, and took a step closer.

RRed jumped up, the spring slightly uncioling, then recioled as he tensed for an attack. "I wasn't informed this was your realm, maybe you need ebtter signs or something. Far as I know, this is free land."

The ranger leaned forward in her excitement to see what the man had found. She held her torchin closer for more light. The cloaked figure brought down his sword. Wren feeling the air disturbed moved aside just in time, but her torch was knocked from her hand. The skull like figure kicked the torch into a corner. Now the corner of the cavern was nicely lit, but the rest of them were in near darkness. And the figure with the sword was still lurking around.

Muttering, he turns to look at the rest. "Run, while there is still time. You will have done nothing to gain his attention. It is on me."

Red didn't move, hie eyes seeking a foe. He saw a shadow move. He couldn't afford stabbing one of his aquantinces, so he let out a war cry, and barreled into it, and found out it wasn't one of them, so he punched and kicked it, not having the room for a sword, thankful the thing really didn't either. He just hoped it didn't have a knife -.- Red threw the thing into a the lit corner, and waited to see what it would do.

Suddenly more shadows appeared it looked as though this barrow wight was not alone. Wren ran for the door as the man had suggested but found her way blocked by a large barrow wight brandishing a sword. "Steal from me will you", he accused taking a step toward the woman ranger. "You will pay for your audacity." Then he struck with his long barrow blade, but the ranger simply parried his blow. He struck again and again, but his blows were matched as she returned everyone of them. But this was no mere mortal easily defeated with the long sword. This creature had already seen death and no longer feared the other side.
Seeking a new tactic, he feinted to her right, and while she sought to return the blow that wasn't there he brought his sword in from the left grazing her side as she realized his intent. A scream tore through her lips as she felt the wights blade, and warm blood trickled down her body. She danced backwards toward her comanpions.
"Is there another way out of here?" She called out to them.

Red fended off two of them, and picked up the torch, and lit one of thier cloaks on fire. It shrieked, and ran off. "I have no idea, but I think that-" He blocked an overhanded swing "that the way they are blocking-" He stopped a side swing, and thrusted back to give him some breathing room "is out only way." He rushed the wright, and gritted his teeth, this thing was cold, and it hurt. "Are you up to a sprint?" He blocked another swing, and his long red hair came undone from it's ponytail. "Dang it....."

A soft chanting comes from the rangers lips as he slowly stands, unsheathing his sword, which glowed a sickly gray. The chant builds in volume and strength as he approaches a wight. Parrying its blows, he quickly knocks the wights blade away, striking it in the chest, turning and ignoring its wail as he passes.
"Bare swords of Westernesse make, and we shall win." The bow he was seeking was unstrung upon his back, the quiver of arrows beside the sheath for his sword. He resume his chant, the language of which is Numenorean.

Red watched as he parried a couple more blows. "Wow, that's a pretty nifty trick." He lunged at a wraith, and sudden;y he saw an opening for the way out. He ran at a wraith, and knocked it out of the way, and right into another, whivh moved into his way, and the gap closed. He gritted his teeth, and continued to smash and bash, it was the only method that was working.

Drawing forth his knife, he tosses it to Red. "Use this. It will work better." He proceeds to impale another wight, making is way slowly to the entrance.

They were making some headway in getting through the doorway, when Wren faced yet another wight. He had his barrow sword drawn, and was moving to attack her. She parried his blow, and soon his black cloak was in shreds showing his skeletal form.
The ranger shuddered at the sight, and continued to hack away at him, soon there was nothing left but a pile of bones at her feet. She seized his blade and tucked it into her belt as she finally exited the barrow and into the open air. She turned to see if her companions had also made it out.

Red caught the knife, and wated no time in slashing at his wights, still throwiing them out the way every so often. He made it out, and stumbled into into the open. "I think I've seen enough of here to last me about 6 lifetimes." He glanced back. "Amd the awful thing is, I think I may come back someday."

The ranger continues to work his way to the door, resuming his chanting, this one different however. As he exits, a loud and dreadful wail fills the air for a few moments before it fades.
