Isolde mounted her own steed, it was a strange creature bringing to mind a knight's horse from a game of chess. It moved as if a living statue. Isolde jostled it with a hard kick to where she saw her employer from the bar. " 'Morning, though I suppose one could still say it was night," Isolde greeted her, bringing the obsidian stallion back into a living breathing stoic figurine staring straight ahead. They rode in a swift efficient manner with the air of escape to the southern road of the town.

Enleya noted the breed of the stalion her guide rode upon. it was a huge creature, as different to Mearcós as night was to day. Mearcós' white arched kneck and proud expressive face stood in stark contrast to the tall animal beside him. Enelya had never seen an animal as still before in her life.

Their road was a quiet and undisturbed one, with a town full of drunks sleeping it off and good housewives making breakfast hollering at disobedient children. Two women passing like a dove and raven in flight were hardly noticed at the moment and not at all marked.
Isolde glanced to the woman as they went along, horses in easy pace together. She certainly wasn't much of a talker but Isolde wasn't the easiest sort of person to talk to after all. Isolde tried to keep her thoughts on where she was going, but honestly their destination was like second nature to her. From nearly anywhere in Middle-earth she could find her way back to her 'home'.

as they travelled her mind wandered. She wondered how Drócmar was doing was he still alive, few could do what he had done and get away with it.
She wondered was this a waste of time, was she handing herself to the dark lord as well?
(Ooc your such a good rpger/ writer in general!)

For the first few miles huts and scattered farms dotted the landscape, but beyond that there was nothing. Soon at a crossroads their path was shared by a few other travellers spurning from another direction. These were the typical sort, an old peddlar with a cart full of wares, a few scanty looking urchins and a young married couple with a balling child both on horseback with the baby in a backsling. They paid little to no mind to Isolde and Enelya, though the children seemed too intimidated to venture very close to the meaner looking woman's huge ride. The old man with his cart muttered something about 'The Eye'. "Old fool doesn't know what he's saying," Isolde muttered rolling her eyes. She decided to cheat the old man out of his 'dark find'.
"Look at this sir, a northern ranger under Lord Faramir himself's guard," Isolde called to him, slipped her black sleeves from one wrist. On her hand and arm was a gauntlet unique to that order with the white tree. This silenced him from anything incriminating he might say--elderly people have long memories of travesties done to them and theirs. In reality of course the gauntlet and its twin were taken from a dead body just before they were tossed on one of Mordor's burning pyres, for occaisions just as these.
((Aww thanks. You're pretty good yourself.))

Enelya listened intently to Isolde's remark to the old man. The man had mummbled something she couldn't hear but she was sure it was an insult of some kind. Her curiosity grew as she thought again of her counterparts horse; it was huge and a fine stallion of impeccible line she was sure of that. It was a horse more suited to the Rohirrim than a gaurd of Gondor "You served the Lord Farimir?" She asked quietly of the other women, trying to keep her feelings hidden (Ooc don't worry not sickening love story )

Isolde raised an eyebrow turning towards Enelya; she had been expecting this question. A small smile formed on her thin pale lips as she returned, "Yes in fact, still do. I'm merely on leave now for a few good months after several years of active duty." Actually by ranger standards it was a very believable lie, judging by her appearance and skill. In fact she *was* of strong Numenorean descent, but of the Black line--worshippers of Sauron not the type her employer more than likely thought she was. It wasn't fully morning yet, and wouldn't be for several more hours. With the Eye on Gondor, sunrise came later and later.

She felt safer knowing her companion was a solider, Drócmar had always done the fighting her skills lay else were. However her closeness to the lord Farimir may cause a problem, she tightened her hold on the rein and tried to redirect her thoughts, this was not the time for rash actions..."there is still time" she thought "there is still time"

The day would prove to be a cool one, with a frosty forsaken look in the sky guided by a tired sun awakening. Isolde's horse was as stoic and obedient as always, spooked by nothing even a ragged rabid looking dog running out into their path. No the unnamed drone beast of Mordor's eyes never faltered from the path ahead--not really seeing, just moving as directed.
The dog yapped and growled persistently--the animal's disease could prove ill for their animals if they were bit. The haggard mutt dashed out to the space before them looking as though guarding the road. Isolde took an arrow out, not liking to waste one but all the same it was annoying and a risk. The yew snapped and the head embedded itself into the dog's side. It gave a pitiful yelp, thick white froth of disease seeping from its mouth. Satisfied, Isolde held the bow to the side again as she loosely held her mount's reins.

The morning was cold, and the air was chill, but nothing chilled Enelya more than the look in her companions eyes. She had seen the dog, felt repulsed by it's appearance adn it's illness, and glad when Isolde had killed it; but what had shocked her was the look in the other womens eyes.
There was a hard steel behind them adn teh ember of some unwholesome fire that burned like something savage and wild. An old sense stirred again in Enelya, a sense that told her to be careful. There was a saying amoung her people, that even when fighting the mighty dragon never trun your back upon the lowly serpent.

Isolde felt her client observe her carefully and bit back the questioning of what it was she was thinking of about her. It just didn't seem right. So they continued in silence, horse's stepping over the canine corpse.
((Sorry this is so short. Me haves blinding migraine headache.))

*feel better ;D* Enelya knew that soon she would have to tell her counterpart about Drocmár, it was bound to come up. the heavy feeling in the pit of her stomach had increased since they had left the inn. She was worried and this unerved her. She didn't want her fear to cloud her senses or her judgement she knew she would need them both in the days ahead.

Isolde observed her traveling companion carefully, though unobtrusively. The woman knew it was really none of her business, but this quiet was nerve-wracking and Isolde had never been known for her manners before. "If I may break this deafening quiet, what has my lady so unvoiced, surely this trip has not been uncomfortable so far?" Even the birds wanted away from this messenger of Mordor, all but ill animals like the dog and broken spirited abominations like this horse shyed away from her. ((Thanks )

"No it has not been uncomfortable, in fact thus far it has been easier than i imagined. I am simply worried that my quest will be invain." She answered.

((Heh know the feeling, no worries ;D))
"That is well I suppose. Most quests are in vain of course," Isolde smirked, keeping her eyes to the road in front of her, leading her animal to turn correctly at a fork in the road, expecting her companion and steed to follow suit.
