Feel free to list your favorites, least favorite, discuss a recently viewed movie, or any other type of movie discussion.
We can finally watch movies again now that I paid my tv bill. lol
Anyway, yesterday I watched, "The Imposter" for the first time. I love science fiction almost as much as fantasy. And Gary Sinese (sp?) is really great. I like Madeline Stowe too. And I won't say anything else in case someone hasn't seen it.

I haven't seen it, but I saw previews on Sci-Fi Channel, and it looked really good. I'll try and catch it next time it's on. Last movie I saw was "Paparazzi" (on the big screen). It's pretty good, but I won't give anything away for those who haven't seen it. Hmm... if I were to list my favorites, I guess it'd be something like: 1. Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back 2. The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring 3. X2: X-Men United 4. Aliens 5. Hellboy

I loved the first Star Wars trilogy too. The first one was such a classic. The series seemed to pave the way for epic scifi movies. I haven't seen X2 yet, or Hellboy. My son wanted to see this so badly in the theatre's but I was more than a little reluctant. The title made me think of a guy with spikes sticking out of his head. I've heard it was good, but the title didn't make it sound appropriate for children.

Depends how old your son is. The movie's about a demon who's turned to good. It's based on the Dark Horse comic. Since it deals with occult-mythology type stuff, it has some scary monsters, and even a bit of blood and gore (though surprisingly little, considering the subject matter). I wouldn't recommend it to anyone under 11.

He'll be thirteen pretty soon. It sounds like something he can handle. Thanks for the review!

I think I'll list my least favorite movies.
1. Phenomenon! NOT LotR!!! Amazing, isn't it? I just really hate the ending of this movie. In fact, I actually prefer the inaccuracies in
2. The Lord of the Rings. Yeah, everyone knew that my entire post here was just an excuse to rag on the movies, but still...

I agree with you, Ereinion. I actually really like Phenomenon until the last 20 minutes or so, but the ending was just a copout IMHO. The worst ending EVAR has to be "Traffic", though... the credits just suddenly start rolling. Nothing's resolved. Also, "Instinct" (with Anthony Hopkins and Cuba Gooding Jr.) needed a lot more explanation to go along with its last scene, which as it stands now makes absolutely no sense.

Maybe they're making a sequel? Though if not then boo them!! *boos them* My favs are
1. Original Trilogy Star Wars. The new ones are ok, and I like them...but they can never compare the true brilliance of the original 3.
2. Millemium Actress. It's a subbed anime, but it's still one of the best movies I've seen. It almost made me cry. It;s about how this guy gives a girl a key and when she asks whats it's to he says 'The Most Wonderful Thing.'

Anyone seen Butterfly effect?, I only saw it for the first time last night and don't know what to make of it. It stars Ashton Kutcher

Yeah, I saw that. Good movie, if a bit on the weird side. I had no idea Ashton Kutcher could actually act. BTW, welcome, DA. Could you be so kind as to resize your avatar? As much as I like it, it took quite a while to load.

Has anyone seen Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon? I finally got around to seeing that a couple days ago and it rocked. The only odd thing is chi levetation is utilized. A lot.

ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED? *cough* If you can handle Gladiator, Butterfly Effect is a cakewalk in comparison (at least as far as blood/violence is concerned... they curse a lot more in Butterfly Effect, but if you can handle the language on my site, you should be fine ). Yeah, I loved that film. How could anyone not like a movie with Zhang Ziyi in a wet t-shirt?

I just saw Gladiator a couple of days ago. (I think it was on tnt?). It rates right up there with Titanic. I don't know how fond I am of movies where they kill everyone off. I thought it was kind of a depressing movie, but at the same time it was a good movie. I haven't seen Butterfly effect, but wierd sounds good. Welcome, DarkAngel! Always nice to have some new blood on the boards.
